Squandered Faith

I feel one of the finest luxury we are awarded with is "Choice". As we grow & evolve, the presence of choice compliments out selection of beliefs.

Over the time we define our path, the path we believe in. Sometimes you realize the beliefs leading the path are misplaced. That makes you backtrack over to the origin where the 'belief' sprouted. This journey of going back to the point where the branches of choice split, that's the journey I tried writing about in the above text.

When there comes a point in your life, you decide certain facts you believe. Having your faith defined, you take one step at a time defining your rationale, your emotions, your psyche around it. And times when you realize the entire center of your belief was misplaced or misguided, everything you developed around it falls apart. With everything gone, there's not much left, ie you are left hollow where once the strongest of your belief existed. The process of slicing parts of your trust, takes away some part of you too. But I feel what matters in the end is how do you decide to live with it? Either you stay hollow or gather the courage to explore new beliefs.
